Step-by-Step Guide

When you move house there is so much to arrange and things can sometimes stress you out even before you move. This is why we have put together this easy to follow step by step guide to moving house to help make your move a bit easier to deal with.

Step 1
From the minute you pick up the phone and call us we will endeavour to deal with your enquiry as quickly and efficiently as possible.For a quotation please contact us on 01435 863774 or 07885 852769.

Step 2
Our Surveyor will make an appointment to call around to your house at a time that is convenient to you.
The Surveyor will ask you to show them around your property to point out what items you require moving,
whether or not you require a price for packing and if you require the use of our containerised storage facilities.

Step 3
Our Surveyor will then return to the office and will produce a quotation based upon the items that need moving from your property. This quotation will be emailed /posted to you on the same day or next day.

Step 4
Once you receive the Quotation you then need to inform us by telephone or in writing as to whether or not you wish to accept the quote.

Step 5
As soon as you have exchanged contracts you will need to inform
us of the date of your move this is to avoid disappointment when booking a date for your move. You will then need to complete the Acceptance Form and return it to us by email or post.

Step 6
We will then confirm your booking and will give you a time when you can expect
our team to arrive at your property on the day of your move. In the mean time if you need any
packing equipment such as boxes, packing paper or bubble wrap then contact us on 01435 863774
and we can arrange for someone to deliver the goods to you or you can collect them yourself.

Step 7
When packing your household make sure that you clearly mark each box with which room in your new home you wish the boxes to go into. For example bathroom, kitchen, bedroom etc.This will help our porters to ensure your move runs smoothly and to ensure that things are put where you want them. Try not to make boxes too heavy for example if you are packing heavy books then try to use small boxes so that they can be lifted with ease. Also label boxes containing glass and china “fragile”

Step 8
We will contact you the day before your move takes place to confirm the arrival time of our team
and vehicle/s and to take payment for the removal. Payment can be made by debit or credit card.

Step 9
On the day of your move we will make every effort to ensure that your move is
stress free from start to finish. We will place your furniture in whatever room
you chose at your new address to make your new house feel like home.
(Please Note: We are unable to remove goods from or place items into lofts/attics).
